Meet Evan
Founder of WealthGPS | Strategy Consultant | Passionate about personal finance, helping others, and solving problems
Growing up, I was fortunate to have parents who emphasized the importance of managing money. While I never had an allowance (and remain jealous of my friends who did), my mother taught me about personal finance and my father taught me about the stock market. I remember feeling nervous yet excited whenever I learned something new - like writing my first check or investing my first $100.
When I started college at the University of Florida, I initially thought I wanted to go into investment banking. After getting involved in a few extracurriculars, I realized that the long hours of investment banking weren’t for me. Instead, I wanted to continuously learn, have each day look different, and help others in a meaningful way. So, I expanded my areas of study to finance, real estate, and entrepreneurship, and cofounded the Undergraduate Consulting Club at UF outside of classes. With a little bit of luck and a lot of hard work, I ultimately graduated Summa Cum Laude with a perfect 4.00 GPA (I still can’t believe how many hours I spent in the library).
Post graduation, I landed a role at Gartner as a Client Success Partner. Over a year and a half, I served over 100+ clients ensuring they received the most out of the resources at their disposal. Through my interactions with clients, I developed a passion for customer service and gained invaluable experience working with people from various backgrounds. After COVID alleviated, I reapplied to consulting firms, and was fortunate enough to receive an offer for a full-time role. Beyond my current responsibilities, I was encouraged to launch WealthGPS and to try to create the relevant, actionable, and accessible financial education I wish existed when I grew up.
